It was a massive shock when Blade was revealed as the leader of Marvel's vampire uprising, even catching Dracula himself off guard. As a result, the iconic vampire reluctantly allied with the Avengers, but even their combined forces won't be enough. It seems that only Blade's daughter will have what it takes to end the "Blood Hunt."

Blood Hunt #3 – by Jed MacKay, with art by Pepe Larraz – made it clear that the only hero capable of putting a permanent end to Blade is his daughter, Brielle Brooks (a.k.a. Bloodline.) Dracula first recruits Bloodline in Blood Hunt #3, but even when she joins the Avengers in the midst of this war, Brielle is none the wiser as to who is the mastermind of it all.

When the truth comes to light, Dracula outright tells her that she is Blade's weakness, and he can only die by her hand.

Blade's daughter is one of Marvel's newest superheroes, having debuted in Free Comic Book Day 2022: Avengers / X-Men: Judgment Day #1. Shortly after, her origins and character were expanded in the Bloodline: Daughter of Blade miniseries, revealing that the teenager had lived a normal life with her mother – under the protection of a spell offered to his best friend when she was a baby – before inheriting her father's vampiric-based powers. In the series, she learned who her father was, met him for the first time, and Blade decided to train her.

Blade's training of his daughter pays off during the "Blood Hunt" story arc, which plunges the Marvel world into darkness, for hordes of vampires to feed off of, all with Blade being the culprit. As Brielle tried to adjust to working with Dracula, a monster her father always warned her about, she was initially left in the dark about who caused the state the world had been thrown into. When the truth comes to light, Dracula outright tells her that she is Blade's weakness, and he can only die by her hand.

Now, this new mission asserts Bloodline at the center of "Blood Hunt," promising she is the only hero capable of defeating Blade.

Whether the time is now at the end of this arc is up for debate, but when the day comes that Blade is no longer with us, this practically sets Brielle up as the next Daywalker. The Daywalker is more than just a moniker, as Blade's daughter is destined to eventually become Marvel's go-to hero needed for everything that goes bump in the night.
