Coronation Street confirms major return as Emmerdale's Moira gets revenge (2024)

There is sadness and upset aplenty across all of our favourite soaps next week, as confirmed in my new spoilers, with intense showdowns, big decisions made and a devastating farewell.

Emmerdale sees Moira Dingle on a mission to get justice for son Matty Barton, who is languishing behind bars after a false accusation from Samson Dingle, while Coronation Street focuses on the funeral of baby Rose.

And Toyah Battersby is set to make a huge discovery.

EastEnders, meanwhile, sees Johnny Carter on a mission to protect mum Linda Carter as Callum Highway gets too close for comfort. Is The Six’s dastardly secret set to be exposed at the hands of Walford’s detective?

Or can Johnny convince his friend to change course?

Over in Hollyoaks, Lucas Hay and Dillon Ray prepare to take a huge step in their relationship, resolving to have sex, but things don’t exactly pan out as they might’ve hoped.

But wait, there’s more! That’s just the tip of the iceberg of what I’ve got on offer, so without further ado, let’s take a look at what next week has in store for us in soap, shall we?

EastEnders

Callum’s suspicions are piqued by Linda and soon he begins to quiz Sharon about Keanu and Dean. Phil is also on the scent, as he demands that Sharon come clean. Sharon’s problems persist when Callum decides to speak to the officers who investigated Keanu’s death. Jack attempts to professionally swerve him, but Johnny reckons that this isn’t enough as he uses Ben’s absence to try and convince him to let this go.

Yolande is adamant that she’s going to attend Jordan’s baptism,despite Patrick’s pleas for her to skip it. After some words of advice from Bernie, Yolande is buoyed to attend, but it all gets too much for her as she shouts at Pastor Clayton before rushing out.

Stevie, Jack, Billy and Howie head to the fishing trip with their sons on Father’s Day, with Stevie confiscating the teens’ mobile devices in a bid to help them reconnect with their dads. Billy, however, becomes concerned when Stevie calls him the wrong name.

Hollyoaks

Lucas tells Dillon that he wants his first time to be with him and, soon enough, they plan to have sex. The boys proceed to rip each other’s clothes off but Ste and James walk in! Dillon subsequently books a hotel, but Lucas lies about being grounded. Dillon, however, finds out that he lied, confronting him. Lucas apologises, with both he and Dillon making up – under the watchful eye of Misbah, who shares her concerns about their closeness with James and Ste.

Sienna is excited to share her new business venture, revealing that she’s leased a stall at the market entitled ‘Blakes Blooms’. Dilly, meanwhile, meets up with Martha, who can’t get away quick enough and, soon afterwards, Dilly sets her sights on Jeremy, who looks eerily like her dead dad.

Abe turns aggressive towards Cleo after she gets a promotion at work. He subsequently sets out a new workout regime for her, including an exercise class in the park, which makes her feel self-conscious as he praises Teresa and Hannah. Hannah, however, can see through him, with both she and Cleo connecting as they share their own experience of having an eating disorder.

Coronation Street

The day of baby Rose’s funeral arrives, with Leanne telling Toyah that she will pay for it. Rowan watches from afar, with Toyah confronting him publicly, much to the horror of Leanne, who reveals that Rowan paid for the service. Nick is perplexed and, later, he and Toyah have sex – unbeknown to them, however, someone is watching from the derelict builders yard.

Abi fears that Corey Brent’s father Stefan is behind her deepfake videos as some form of twisted revenge. Bethany, meanwhile, has a new job – but the first assignment is to write a positive article about Corey! She informs Abi that she’ll quit but, instead, Kevin demands her pass to Stefan’s office. Kevin later breaks into the office, with a video of him doing so subsequently emerging. Kev claims it’s a deepfake, but will the truth come to light?

Cassie offers to be Ken’s carer for a quarter the price of a professional. Daniel and Amy reckon it’s a good idea and Steve reluctantly agrees. Cassie is thrilled. Ken, however, is furious!

Emmerdale

Belle resolves to have a termination and books an appointment, crushed that it’s come to this. Needing money from the joint account to pay for the taxi, Belle clocks Tom’s phone pin – but she is floored when she comes to realise that he’s been tracking her movements! When Amelia agrees to look after Piper, Belle slips her phone into Esther’s pram and gets into Tom’s car, driving herself to the clinic – adamant that she cannot have this baby.

Matty is in prison following last week’s events and he confides in Moira and Amy that he hasn’t showered since he arrived. Heartbroken for her son, Moira subsequently confronts Samson in the Woolpack toilets, determined to get him to tell the truth. Cain warns Moira against taking drastic action but Moira berates him publicly, which she soon comes to regret.

Kim is irked by Rose’s constant presence in her home, with Rose later informing Ruby that their plan is working.
